I paid AED 16,250 to Fam Properties (broker Alaa Sleiman) for tenancy of Unit 319, Azizi Riviera 43 and signed a contract dated 01/10/2015. The broker instructed me to transfer funds and I sent AED 5,250 and AED 11,000 on [01/10/2025] (I have bank receipts). After payment, I discovered the unit was unavailable and immediately requested a refund (email dated 02/10/2025 and WhatsApp proof attached). Despite repeated requests, Fam Properties and the broker have not refunded my money nor provided a resolution. I am now pursuing a formal complaint with the Dubai Land Department / RERA and will seek recovery through the Rental Dispute Settlement Centre. If you are considering renting through Fam Properties — City Walk, verify unit availability independently and do not transfer funds without written confirmation and clear proof of possession. I am posting this review to warn other tenants and to encourage Fam Properties to refund my payment and correct their process around accepting client funds.
I had my 1 bedroom apartment for over 3 weeks with other agents and barely any viewing was done. With Alaa Al Hajj Sleiman the apartment was rented after his add was 1 day online. The process was very smooth and fast. I highly recommend him for any other client who wants to rent out his apartment/ house.
Aala from fäm properties was very proactive in the entire leasing process till the finalisation of the contract. He was very friendly and helpful when it came to the property viewing, and offered direction on how to register the ejari and dewa since I'm a first time renter in the region.
